The tariff for a double room is £75 per room per night for bed and breakfast if booked direct and £78 per night via a booking agency. The family room is let at c. £110 – 115 per night. The agents believe there may be some room for an increase in tariffs. The guest house is open for around 9 months each year and informed turnover is approximately £65,000 – £70,000 per annum, but has been as high as £80,000. The 2024 year figures will be affected as the owner had a broken ankle and trade was restricted for a period.

From the agent’s experience with other guest houses he has sold in Weymouth he feels that with an increase in tariff, the use of the 8th bedroom and a renewed website an increase in turnover to around the vat threshold of £90,000 is achievable.
